Year 5 had a fantastic time at Tatton Park learning more about the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. We learnt how to braid, create a shield wall and how to create flour from wheat.

Ancient Greece Day, by Mr Lewis

To round off our topic on the Ancient Greeks, we held a full day of exciting activities. We looked at how Sparta and Athens compared and had to make up our minds if we would rather live in Sparta or Athens. We also performed our own Greek play!

Today in Art, we focused on the key word tone to show the deepness of colours that we used.

We created mirror images of real flower pictures, before challenging ourselves to draw our own.

Today, we had the wonderful opportunity to watch the Aladin Panto in a Day!

Year 3 absolutely loved it, it was so funny and we loved getting involved.

Our topic was Christianity, so we learnt all about Christian faith, churces, music and Rosa Parks.

Year 4 have been very busy for the last few weeks, working on their fantastic DT project.

We have been making a festival card of our choice, that has a moving part.

We discussed the process of designing our product carefully, making our product so that all parts are functioning correctly, and evaluating what we have made.

We've had lots of fun throughout this project!

We had a Christmas quiz, decorated our tables, ate lots of party food and watched some films!

We want to give all the adults who provided the food and drink a huge THANK YOU for making our party possible!

We played lots of fun party games, watched films, did some colouring activities and ate as much party food as we possibly could!

Thank you to all the adults that provided the food & drink, we really appreciate the support and it made the day even more exciting.

Year 5 got to use the saws and glue guns to create some world cup flagpoles. They worked in their team point groups.

Year 6 enjoyed their Christmas party day on Tuesday. Throughout the day we played Christmas themed Kahoot quizzes, made Christmas cards, decorated our tables, played party games and listened to some Christmas tunes! We are all partied out and ready for the holiday break!

Year 6 had fun recalling prior learning this week by exploring metric measurement equipment. We had fun discussing if 1 tonne of feathers weighed less than 1 tonne of bricks! It was fun to see the 'lightbulb' moments happen!
