Year 6 Curriculum
As our pupils start Year 6, they will be looking both backwards and forwards. They consolidate their learning and apply it in different contexts and begin new projects and activities that will prepare them for their next stage of learning. Year 6 pupils sit the end of Key Stage 2 SATs in May and end the year on a high with our Residential trip to PGL Activity Centre and our wonderful Leavers' Production. Throughout their time in Year 6, pupils take on leadership roles such as Reading Buddies and Play Leaders to support our younger children. They arrange Sports days and Transition Days for Year 2 and this year they will be creating a 'Guide to Year 6' for our year 5 pupils.
We visit Crucial Crew to support our journey to being independent and responsible members of the community. We forge links with the local High Schools and enjoy using their resources - science labs, dance studios and Food Technology departments.
