Levi Tafari poetry event

We were lucky to have a visiting poet in Year 5 last Thursday. Levi Tafari is a Liverpool based poet who came to perform some of his own work and then work with us to create fantastic poems about Manchester and diversity. The children were really inspired by Levi and generated lots of ideas about their home city. To top it off, year 5 and 6 had a visit from the Greater Manchester Mayor, Andy Burnham and were able to share their poems with him. He was very touched with the ideas portrayed in the poetry and the pride in Manchester.
