King Vortigern

Today we learnt about King Vortigern. We listened to the story about him, Hengist and Horsa. We ranked the reasons why Anglo-Saxons came to Britain. We then wrote a mini speech, in small groups, about whether we thought Vortigern was a good or bad person. We presented our speeches to the class and then we all made our final decision. Our aim was to persuade people to switch to what we thought. After this, we explained why Vortigern's decision (to let Anglo-Saxons come to Britain) was siginificant and discussed how it chanegd Britain.
