Year 3: Blog items

Tuesday 24th March Year 3, by Miss Higson

Date: 24th Mar 2020 @ 8:17am

Good morning everyone!

Miss Higson here. I hope you are all well and are getting into the swing of things at home. Did you all manage to complete day 1 activities? I was in school yesterday with Mrs Nunwick but I saw that a lot of you have been on Google Classroom and carried on with your story too. That's great!

Here is the link for the Joe Wicks PE lesson at 9am but you can do it at any time if you're not ready then. CLICK HERE

And then, today's activities are the ones with a big number 2 circled in the corner. See how you get on :)

Also, you can send a comment to me if there is something you're not sure about. Your message will come up to the teachers. Just scroll down a bit now to where it says 'Post your comment'. Why don't you see if it works and say hi!

Here's an extra challenge too - can you find out what creature this is? Good luck!

Speak to you soon,

Miss Higson and Mrs Edwards

Monday 23rd March Year 3, by Miss Edwards

Date: 22nd Mar 2020 @ 8:02pm

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all well and have had a nice morning so far.

I am challenging myself to complete PE with Joe Wicks every day this week. He starts at 9am, but if you miss it, you can find it on his YouTube channel later on.

Here is the link;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6r99N3kXME

3E, continue with your stories that I posted on Google Classroom please - you have all week to complete them.

Your first task today is to create a home learning timetableWork with your adult at home tocreate a daily timetable from Monday-Friday. Think about chunking the day up with set times for the following:

1. Wake up time

2. Breakfast/get ready

3. School work

4. Exercise

5. Reading and adding to your reading record (2 separate 30 minute slots)

6. Creative activties such as drawing

7. Diary writing to reflect on the day

8. Helping with chores at home

9. Don't forget break times too!

Record your timetable in your blue exercise book. Today's date Monday 23rd March and title Home Learning Timetable. Try to organise a work space too (a table is best if you can).

Enjoy your day! We will be thinking about you.

PE Home Learning - The PE Passport, by Mr Tarry

Date: 20th Mar 2020 @ 12:00pm

During the time school is closed, PE Passport have put together a selection of videos, ideas and activities that, if you are looking for something to do, will hopefully give you some different ways to stay active.

The content is designed to provide fun and engaging challenges to be attempted at home and as families. They have added Dance, Yoga, Hand/Eye Coordination skills and Personal Challenges. PE Passport will be updating the content daily over the next week and we hope the resources available will help your school community stay active during the closure. They have also provided external links to other websites that might prove useful to parents and carers whilst at home.
